Persepolis is a book about Marji's life and what she wants to be. It's also about the Iranian War I believe. She is the authorof this book, so it's basically a biography. She tells about her life in Iran. A lot of crazy things happen. A lot of it deals with people being in prison like her family members and them being exiled. In the end of the book before she leaves, she looks back for one last goodbye and sees something has happened to her mother. It remains a mystery what exactly happens unless you read the next book.
